Beyoncé celebrated her 31st birthday yesterday and the whole world celebrated with her.
The “Countdown” singer received an outpouring of birthday messages on her website. Her mother Tina Knowles left a touching message saying “God blessed me with one of the greatest gifts in my life on Sept 4, 1981,” while her mother-in-law Gloria Carter commented on watching Beyoncé grow into a woman. “You came into my life a sweet Southern girl (LOL),” she wrote. “You’ve blossomed into an amazing woman. I admire how you remain grounded and humble and haven’t let success change the person that you are.”
Her sister Solange also left a sweet message. “There is no one like you in this world. Of all your achievements, the one that first comes to mind is your kindness,” Solange wrote. “Your sense of selflessness, consideration of people’s being and your beautiful generosity are all of the things that make me so proud to be your sister and your friend.”
Some of Beyoncé’s famous friends and other family members also left messages, including Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Chris Martin, Angel Beyonce and Solange’s son Daniel. Beyoncé decided to celebrate her birthday sailing through the Mediterranean with her husband Jay-Z and 8-month-old daughter Blue Ivy. Tabloids obtained pictures of the family of three on their yacht. Jay was looking cool in a sweatshirt while his wife was wearing a nautical-styled navy blue sweater. Little baby Blue was matching her mommy in a little blue sundress and was caught being carried around by her daddy.
