Paramount Pictures released the trailer to Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters, starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton.
The film is a violent remake of the well-known fairytale about scared siblings-turned witch hunters. 15 years after their traumatic gingerbread house incident, Hansel and Gretel have become a formidable team of bounty hounters who track and kill witches all over the world, according to a synopsis from IMDB.
Joining the fairytale cast is Femke Janssen, Peter Stormare, Thomas Mann and Zoe Bell. The Tommy Wirkola directed film was initially scheduled to hit theaters March 2nd earlier this year, but the studio pushed it back to January 11, 2013 to capitalize off of Renner’s growing popularity. The star was featured in The Avengers, a film that earned $1.5 billion profit worldwide. In addition, he took over the hugely successful Bourne franchise as a new agent named Aaron Cross.
