In the latest update of Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson and Evelyn Lozada’s downward spiral, the government of St. Maarten may come after the former couple with a lawsuit.
Chad and Evelyn’s wedding took place on the island on July 4th with a host of guest. In an effort to boost tourism the Finance Minister Roland Tuitt confirmed they forked over $90,000 to cover the wedding. The investment was made in hopes that the couple’s wedding special “Ev & Ocho” would have increase tourism for the island. As we all know, Evelyn has filed for divorce after 41 days of marriage and VH1 has dropped “Ev & Ocho” from its fall lineup with no plans of adding it back.
The minister released this statement;
“When someone is investing in business it’s a risk they are taking and if something happens then they will have to deal with consequences. Naturally, we have a contract with Johnson and Lozada and that contract has some clauses inside of it and St. Maarten will use those clauses if necessary.”
