Shots from Beyoncé’s ad campaign for her House of Dereon fashion line have been released and it seems like the line has undergone a transformation.
House of Dereon has always been flashy and bright with bright colors and gold embellishments but judging from the shots, Beyoncé has given the clothes an edgier look. In one shot, the singer models a high-waist leopard print shirt with a black bustier. Another has her clad in a little black dress with a leopard print scarf. The third one doesn’t have any leopard print and instead she sports geometrically printed leggings with a black leather motorcycle jacket. Each look is finished off with a wide-brimmed hat and pair of black boots.
Beyoncé isn’t the only one in the Knowles family working it in front of a camera. Bey’s baby sister Solange is the new face of Madewell, according to a press release from the company. “Solange’s great style mix-matched perfectly with Madewell’s aesthetic,” said the release.
The chic clothing company released a promotional video of Solange during a photo shoot. They also sat down with the singer and actress for an interview in which she admitted that she hasn’t always made the best fashion choices. “I’ve worked some pretty outrageous things in the past—just Google ‘Fashion Rocks Solange,’ the 26-year old said. “But, hey, at least I went for it. Isn’t that what being in your 20s is all about?”
Solange also sat down with People’s Stylewatch to talk about her style. “I know that because I wear so much color and print, I might not want to mix so many textures,” she told People. “I am also attentive to my body. I love the way some of the oversize, extremely exaggerated, boxy proportions look on some girls … but it just doesn’t work for me.”
