Beyonce's White Marc Bouwer Dress Sets New Standard

Beyonce shut down the house – literally – in a gorgeous white sequined Marc Bouwer Pre-Fall 2012 gown at the United Nations in New York City last week. The 30-year old entertainer arrived to film a video for her single “I Was Here” in honor of Humanitarian Day (August 19th).

Beyonce’s gown joins the list of celebrities showing off their take on the chicest summer color at special events.

Last night Jessica Biel was an absolute stunner in London at the “Total Recall” premiere in a two piece Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. On first glance it appears to be a one piece but Jessica completes the look with a white Valli feather belt.

Two months ago Rihanna donned a super sexy Adam Selman gown to the Battleship premiere in Los Angeles.

Absolutely gorgeous – all three ladies!

In other news: Last night Beyonce (wearing another white ensemble) sat down with CNN’s anchor Anderson Cooper for his show “Anderson Cooper 360” to discuss her latest philanthropic effort with the UN. As we mentioned Bey filmed the video “I Was Here” at the UN last week.

Cooper asked Beyonce the meaning of the words in the song, which was written by the legendary Diane Warren.

“It says, ‘I want to leave my footprints in the sands of time’ and it basically is all of our dreams, I think. And that’s leaving our mark on the world. I feel like we all want to know that our life meant something.

“We all have our purpose, and we all have our strengths…it feels so wonderful to do something for someone else. And I think for the U.N. to want to include the whole world was something important, and I feel like that’s what I represent.”
