Vanessa Minnillo Lachey’s due date is sometime in September but that isn’t keep the mom-to-be from working. Late last week the Wipeout host was spotted at the Social Luxe Lounge in Times Square for
Edy’s Slow Churned Light Ice Cream event. A pregnant woman and ice cream – is there a better combination?!
Nick Lachey’s wife looked gorgeous in a print maxi dress, white blazer and her hair pulled back. Next up on her to do list is a deal with Shoe Dazzle. Vanessa will help the footwear and accessories company design the one-off heels called Monroe after screen siren Marilyn Monroe.
Vanessa’s efforts will help Operation Shower, a charity providing gifts for parents-to-be in the US military.
“I am so thrilled to be able to raise awareness for a great charity like Operation Shower. Growing up, my father was in the Air Force, so I have an understanding of what it’s like to have a loved one overseas during life’s biggest events. ShoeDazzle has provided me with a fun and fashionable way to support the military – and new moms!”
Work aside Nick and his wife are preparing an animal theme nursery for their baby boy. Their registry reportedly has items ranging from a giraffe plush rattle, dinosaur toys, a monkey-shaped onesie, a green bird-print hooded towel set to blue and white elephant and owl picture frames.
While the shower is still being planned Nick confirmed recently that the nursery is indeed ready, “The nursery’s ready, we got the stroller, we got the car seat. Now it’s just emotionally figuring out what we do, and I don’t think that ever end. I’ve assembled a couple strollers at this point, and I’m pretty confident.”
