Jessica Olsson and Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki may prove their union took place with what could be a wedding photo. It was previously believed that the basketball star and his girlfriend did not wed in a traditional African ceremony in Kenya nearly two weeks ago.
According to popular gossip site MediaTakeout,
“According to a ROCK SOLID SOURCE Dirk and Jessica (whose mother is from Kenya) decided that they wanted to have TWO wedding ceremonies. One for HER MOMS family in Africa . . . and a second in Germany, where Dirk’s family could attend.”
Another source even described the wedding,
“It was beautiful, Dirk delivered the dowry in cattle wearing traditional garb.”
Dalls Mavericks, however, is refusing to confirm its star player is now a married man.
It wouldn’t be far fetched for the German Nowitzki and his girlfriend born of a Swedish father and Kenyan mother to have two weddings. Earlier this year the basketball player couldn’t stop gushing over his girlfriend,
“Jessica is probably the best thing that happened to me this year. After the incidents in 2009, I never thought that I was so quickly on what can engage new. She is a great woman, smart and intelligent. Now let’s see just how that develops over time with us. It feels great in any case; we wait for what will come of it,” Nowitzki said of his new wife in an interview with ballerswives.com last year.
So was there a wedding? Aside from the photo another clue is Nowitzki’s twitter timeline. The tweets are consistent with only a day or two gap but there are no tweets between July 4th and July 16th – looks like plenty of time for a wedding – or a relaxing vacation with your fiance – LOL
