The iPhone 5 rumor mill is going into overdrive with yet another alleged photo of the upcoming Apple smartphone. Photos of the finished device, supposedly assembled from “leaked” components, were originally published together with its internal electronics circuit boards. These shots came from what appeared to be a Japanese iPhone repair shop and were subsequently picked up by 9to5 Mac blog.
The images reinforced earlier reports of a smaller dock connector developed for future iOS devices, as well as a pair of speakers and an earphone jack at the bottom of the casing. The chrome and brushed-metal rear cover also confirmed a new dual-material design as suggested by another rumor. Only time will tell if this is indeed the real McCoy with the iPhone 5 expected to launch in September this year.
