Kile Glover’s funeral was held at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church on Peachtree Road this morning. Kile, the 11-year old son of Tameka Foster, Ryan Glover and former stepson of Usher Raymond was struck in the head on July 6th by a jet ski driven by a family friend. Kile never regained consciousness abut Tameka and her family remained optimistic. A statement was released days after the tragic accident,
“We know God’s in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it’s the best way we can all support him now.”
Unfortunately Kile never regained consciousness and on July 21st the decision was made to remove him from life support.
Kile’s funeral at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church brought out local celebrities who hoped to show their support including Ludacris, Jazze Pha and Phaedra Parks from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” The hour-long service began at 11 a.m.
Before the funeral Tameka announced the creation of the Kile Glover Fund on Twitter.
“I appreciate the hundreds, perhaps thousands of prayers. I’m so grateful to you guys. Kile was the most fun, creative, sweet, respectful boy. Many have asked where to send flowers, but in Lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a contribution to the Kile Glover Fund @ Bank of America. Our goal to to increase water safety- thru implementing laws, policies & education. Kiles passing will not be in vain, we will see to this. Sad. Rest in peace, Kile.
