Comedic actor Eric Andre, who plays in ABC’s Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, has signed for a part in The Internship.
The Internship is an upcoming comedy film which star Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as unemployed salesmen trying to get back in the digital work force by earning an internship at a prestige tech firm. The only problem is, the internship is usually reserved for younger talents who are just entering the work force. Thus, there becomes a big clash between Vaughn/Wilson and the younger interns, after they grudge the two older competitors because of their age.
According to EW, “Andre will play Sid, an engineer at a technology conglomerate who oversees Wilson and Vaughn’s characters, unemployed analog guys who try to reboot their careers as lowly interns at the Silicon Valley company, even though they know nothing about technology.”
Andre explains his character saying, “He’s always getting crapped on by his superior. I don’t know if you’ve ever met an engineer, but they’re all super introverted, nerdy guys. My friend works at Google — he has a joke: ‘How can you tell if you’re talking to an extroverted engineer? They’re staring at your shoes when they’re talking to you.’ Bad-dum-dum!”
The Internship is slated to be release in fall of 2013.
