Cloud Atlas , the new film starring Halle Berry and Tom Hanks, produced by the makers of The Matrix Trilogy, The Wachowskis (Lana and Andy), and directed by Run, Lola, Run’s Tom Twyker released its trailer today .
The trailer gives audiences the first detailed look at the cinematic adaptation of David Mitchell’s best selling novel.
The nearly six minute trailer gives us clues as to how the directors have tied together the six stories that cover a broad span from the 16thCentury to a post apocalyptic future.
The trailer features Halle Berry and Tom Hanks in multiple roles as their different selves in different time periods. Sounds complex? It is, but what do you expect from the brother and sister filmmaking due who brought us the equally complex worlds of The Matrix.
Cloud Atlas will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in early September and will then be released theatrically on October 26. The film stars Halle Berry, Tom Hanks, Hugh Grant, Hugo Weaving, Ben Whishaw, Susan Sarandon, Jim Broadbent, Bae Doona and James D’Arcy.
