Yesterday we showed you some first look images from the multi-genre film Cloud Atlas. Today the trailer has been released, giving the first detailed look at the adaptation of David Mitchell’s best selling novel. The nearly six minute trailer gives us a clue how the directors have tied together the six stories that span from the 16th Century to a post apocalyptic future.
The trailer features Halle Berry and Tom Hanks as their different selves in different time periods. If this sounds like a mind-bender, you’re not far off. The masterminds behind the film are the same people gave the world the Matrix trilogy.
Co-directed by siblings Lana and Andy Wachowski andTom Tykwer, Cloud Atlas will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in early September and then will be released theatrically on October 26. The film stars Tom Hanks, Hugh Grant, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Ben Whishaw, Susan Sarandon, Jim Broadbent, Bae Doona and James D’Arcy.
