A spectacular new trailer for Life Of Pi has hit the web. After debuting footage at 3D showings of Prometheus and Ice Age: Continental Drift, 20th Century Fox has released the first full trailer for the adventure film.
Life Of Pi is Ang Lee’s adaptation of the award-winning novel by Yann Martel. The film follows the adventures of Pi (Suraj Sharma), a young boy traveling with his zookeeper family from India to America aboard a Japanese cargo ship. However, after a terrible storm sinks their vessel, Pi is left fighting for survival on a lifeboat alongside a vicious Bengal tiger.
The narration-less clip is filled with a bunch of action and stunning CGI graphics. The scene with the green-tinted whale jumping out of the ocean is very impressive and definitely sparks a desire to see how it will look in 3D.
Lee will be directing from a screenplay written by Dan Fybel and Rich Rinaldi. The film stars Suraj Sharma, Tobey Maguire, Tabu, Irrfan Khan and Adil Hussain. Life Of Pi will sail into U.S. theaters on December 2
