Kendrick Lamar announces his highly-anticipated multi-city tour.
Kendrick Lamar promised a campaign in the run up to his debut album, did he not? After serving up the latest sample of his highly-awaited good kid, m.A.A.d city record (out October 2nd) with the T-Minus-produced “Swimming Pools (Drank)” last week, K. Dot keeps the anticipation at high levels as he announces a 23-date U.S. tour this Autumn.
The roadshow kicks off in Norfolk, Virginia on September 7th, and will make stops in Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta and the emcee’s home turf of Los Angeles among other cities, before concluding in Pomona, California on October 18th. The tour comes in support of his aforementioned LP, and will be promoted in association with BET Networks’ Music Matters.
“Kendrick is one the most prolific and phenomenal artist emerging today. His music, style and flow brings a fresh and important perspective to hip-hop and we are proud to leverage the BET Music Matters brand to expose his amazing talents to the masses,” says Kelly Griffin, BET Senior Director Music Programming.
“More than a hip-hop show, it’s an experience worth a lifetime,” promises Kendrick himself.
