Actress Halle Berry was reportedly rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after she suffered a head injury on set.
According to TMZ the 45-year-old actress fell and hit her head on concrete during shooting for the upcoming film The Hive.
An ambulance was called to the scene of Berry’s accident and she was reportedly taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center around 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
Filming was completely shut down after Berry’s accident, according to an X17online.com report.
Halle Berry has suffered a number of on-set accidents throughout her career. Last year, the actress broke her ankle while filming Cloud Atlas in Spain.
In 2002, Berry obtained an eye injury during the filming of the James Bond movie Die Another Day. After that incident, she was hospitalized for a broken arm while shooting Gothica in 2003. She also suffered a head injury in 2004 when she was hit in the head by a lighting prop on the set of Catwoman.
This time Berry had been working on the set of the The Hive when her accident occurred. In the thriller, she ironically plays a 911 operator working to save the life of a young girl, played by Abigail Breslin. The film is directed by Brad Anderson and written by Richard D’Ovidio. The Hive also stars Tara Platt, Evie Thompson, David Otunga, and Michael Linstroth.
A rep for Halle Berry has not commented on her medical condition at this time.
