'The Walking Dead' Season 3 Trailer Debuts At 2012 Comic-Con

The producers and cast members of The Walking Dead have finally announced a premier date for Season 3 of the zombie series.  They also introduced an action filled trailer that is kind of a spoiler, but its so exciting it’s hard not to watch.

The Walking Dead Season 3 trailer features Rick readying the group to overtake  a prison filled with hordes of walkers. At the same time, he faces another threat. The Governor (David Morrissey) has kidnapped Andrea (Laurie Holden) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) and taken them to Woodbury. To make matters worst, Andrea makes a mistake and reveals she’s not  the only survivor. Now the Governor is keen on taken the prison for his own by any means necessary. However, Rick doesn’t seem like he’s going to give up their new found sanctuary easily.  Andrea and Michonne see a helicopter crash, which is interesting because of a random helicopter was seen flying around in previous seasons.  One of the most interesting developments is the return of Merle (Michael Rooker). It will be interesting to see how that mixes things up for his brother Daryl (Norman Reedus)

Showrunner Glen Mazzara promises that Season 3 is going to bring it saying, “I really think we’re in the zone on this one. It’s exciting, and we keep pushing each other. It’s about staying raw, visceral, bring it every week.”
