‘Upload With Shaquille O’Neal’ Brings Some Comedy To TruTV
Shaquille O’Neal aka Shaq is heading to TruTV to host his own show Upload With Shaquille O’Neal. The former basketball player turned basketball analyst has struck a deal with TruTv, which also includes comedians Gary Owen, Godfrey, and a special guest.
The comedy show will have the hosts and a celebrity scour the net for the funniest online videos. The team will also create their own viral videos, pull pranks and give their opinions about pop culture.
TruTV as paid for 10 episodes of Shaq’s new show. America’s Funniest Home Videos’ Vin Di Bona and Bruce Gersh’s are producing while Shaq Entertainment’s Perry Rogers, Colin Smeeton and Mike Parris will be executive producing. Mike Gibbons, who works on Comedy Central’s Tosh.O is also on board.
Shaq is no stranger to performing in front of the camera, he is currently an analyst for TNT’s Inside the NBA. His reality show on ABC, titled Shaq VS., aired for two seasons. O’neal’s silver screen credits include films such as Blue Chips, Kazaam, and Steel.
Shaq’s New show is just one of three new show to premiere this year on TruTV. Killer Karaoke and Guinness World Records Gone Wild will also debut later this year on the network.
