Jay-Z and Nia Long recently crossed paths and the rapper had a question for the actress. “I saw him at a party and I complimented him on his long run in music,” Long told Essence magazine. “But he turned it around and asked me: ‘How does it feel to be every boy from the hood’s fantasy girlfriend for 20 years?’ It made me laugh, I hadn’t really thought about it.”
Jay-Z was joking and Long laughed it off but a few fans took the comment in a different direction. “Jay Z and Nia Long would have worked I think,” tweeted “XD.” Another fan implied that Beyoncé might have some competition. “Move Over Beyoncé, Jay-Z Reveals His Celebrity Crush! Even though he’s married to the hottest chick in the game,” tweeted a user known as salimapp.
This news comes as rumors of Beyoncé expecting another child are circulating. “She didn’t drink any alcohol [for weeks] and we’ve ordered Petrus & Champagne multiple times. And Petrus is her favorite wine! It just wasn’t her,” a source told MediaTakeOut. The source said the public should expect an announcement in the “late summer.”
Speaking of the “Countdown” songstress, Beyoncé has become an active blogger and has penned two public letters. The first was a tribute to one of her fans, Dennis Herbert, who was struck and killed by a stray bullet. “Dennis was loved and admired by his friends and family. He was funny and brilliant, graduating from the prestigious Morehouse College,” wrote the singer on her Tumblr page. “His beautiful smile will be missed and this short inspired life is gone too soon. Life is precious and we are reminded every day to live each day to its fullest and love each other.”
The second was to singer Frank Ocean, applauding him for his “coming out” letter that he posted on his own Tumblr page. “Be fearless, be honest, be generous, be brave, be poetic, be open, be free, be yourself, be in love, be happy, be inspiration,” she encouraged.
