Percy Harvin Returns To Mini-Camp After Trade Request

A day after reports flew that he wanted to be traded, Percy Harvin returned to the Minnesota Vikings’ mini-camp today.

“Percy is here, we are looking forward to have him around and will be a part of final minicamp practice,” Vikings coach Leslie Frazier told KFAN radio in Minneapolis.

Harvin was on the field Thursday for the final portion of minicamp at Winter Park, taking part in all of the drills.

“I’m really clueless on the crazy reports…had great prac today ….to all my real fans and real vikes fans see u at Mankato..salute,” Harvin tweeted afterward.

After participating in a light walk-through practice on Wednesday morning with his teammates, Harvin wasn’t present for the full afternoon practice. Frazier on Wednesday declined to go into detail on Harvin’s absence and said he wasn’t sure whether one of the team’s most important players would be around for the final day Thursday.

Earlier Wednesday, general manager Rick Spielman refused to confirm that Harvin had requested a trade, as sources have confirmed to ESPN.com’s John Clayton, but made it clear it would be a moot point regardless.

“We drafted Percy Harvin here,” Spielman said. “He’s a key part of our organization. He’s a key part of our football team. Any issues that are out there or reported, we always handle those internally and continue to handle those internally.
