Halle Berry was spotted at her local CVS Pharmacy in Malibu Wednesday afternoon in rather good spirits just after the news that the ‘Swordfish’ actress was ordered to pay her ex and Nahla’s father, Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, a staggering $20 grand per month by a family law judge.
That’s nearly a quarter of a million dollars a year!
The actress sporting wild, thick luscious curls wore a greenish, flowing tunic paired with cute adorned flat sandals.
The 45-year-old was hand-in-hand with her adorable daughter while she held a bagful of goods in the other hand.
While the mother-of-one looked unconcerned by the court order while out, the ruling had to be a blow considering the “Monster’s Ball” actress has been trying to get a judge to grant her permission to allow her four-year-old to reside in France with she and now-fiancé Olivier Martinez.
And with the court’s ruling in Gabriel’s favor for support of $20 grand per month, the probability of being separated from his daughter seems unlikely.
Gabriel and Halle have been embroiled in a nasty, sometime public, custody battle since their 2010 split.
Last year, Berry told People magazine, “Our issues were never about fighting for her. We both know a child needs both her parents. But what I want to say about it is sometimes, as a couple, you reach an impasse. We needed a court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues … because for her sake, this is the best way. We both love her more than life.”
Do you think it’s reasonable that Halle has to pay $20 grand a month and Nahla lives with her?
