A wicker figure of the world’s fastest man is to be unveiled in a floral display in Birmingham.
It will show Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt in his victory pose and is one of 10 floral installations in the city.
Birmingham’s Jordanne Whiley, Great Britain’s number one ladies wheelchair tennis player, will be the focus of another display.
They have been produced to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.
The full size figure of Bolt, which took three weeks to complete, has been created by Birmingham City Council’s parks team and will be displayed in Victoria Square.
Other people to be featured include gymnasts and fencers.
The displays will be unveiled during the run up to the Olympic torch arriving in the city on 30 June.
Bolt, along with the rest of the Jamaican track and field team, will reside and train at Birmingham University during the run up to the games.
The council’s parks team recently took the gold award at the Chelsea Flower Show for its creations.
