Anne Hathaway’s physical transformations for two big-screen roles have prompted the actress to speak on her “crazy diet stuff” that consisted of hummus and measly radishes and an insane workout regiment for “The Dark Knight Rises” and “Les Miserables.”
The media’s fascination with the actress’ stick-like figure as of late where words like “frail,” “scary skinny,”and “too skinny” have been used to describe her frame for prepping to step into a revealing Catwoman suit and a sickly prostitute. Reportedly Anne worked out intensely and took dance classes five days a week in her quest to look the part while living on 500 calories a day.
“The Catwoman suit. It was a psychological terrorist … the suit, thoughts of my suit, changing my life so I would fit into that suit … it dominated my year,” she tells Allure. “I went into the gym for ten months and didn’t come out.”
With that grueling workout, for the already thin actress, she melted even more pounds away to play ‘Fantine,’ a prostitute with tuberculosis, in the upcoming film version of the popular musical coming out on December 14.
“I’m on day six of detox … this diet makes me break out, so I love that. Nothing like living on hummus and radishes and then be all, ‘And I got a pimple. Yeah!'”
Apparently a trooper for her craft, not only is a few breakouts and weight loss is endurable, but the beautiful 29-year-old isn’t opposed to nudity either.
“I’m as vain as the next girl, but I think it’s my job to show people as they live, and nudity is part of life,” she explains.
How far is too far for ones craft?
Meanwhile, Real Housewives of Atlanta and Don’t Be Tardy to the Wedding star Kim Zolciak hopped on Twitter to share a photo of her growing baby bump, her daughters (Brielle & Ariana), 1-year old baby boy Kroy, Jr. and husband Kroy. The big happy family appeared to be celebrating Father’s Day on a boat. Kim tweeted,
“Happy Fathers day to most incredible father and daddy @biermann71,” she wrote on Twitter Sunday. “We love u so much and [are] so grateful for u!”
