Beyonce is back at it. Childbirth and all, the R&B songstress refused to fall from popular culture’s sex radar for too long, coming in at number 3 on Billboard’s Top 10 Sexiest Women in Music list. Despite the birth of baby girl, Blue Ivy, the Houston, Texas, brick house beat out Rihanna for the number 3 spot. Bowing down to the queen B, Rihanna respectfully placed 4th.
Stage performance, vocal skill, personality quirks and sex appeal were all major components in determining this year’s sexiest men and women in music. Over 600,000 people cast votes. Beyonce and Rihanna may have made top ten, but a few female superstars surpassed the two divas by a couple hundred votes.
The pop culture icon, Lady Gaga, came in at number two with 12 percent of the vote, proving that her world renown influence is here to stay. But who sqaured up with the Bad Romance singer, and beat her for the crown? Non other than the pop princess herself, Britney Spears. Spears grabbed the number one spot, serving as the sexiest female artist of 2012. After a divorce, two kids and a shaved scalp, Spears has fought her way back to the helm of sexy.
Other sexy female artists that made Billboard’s top ten list include Katy Perry (5), Demi Lovato (6), Madonna (7), Jennifer Lopez (8), Nicki Minaj (9) and Taylor Swift (10).
Adam Levine (2), Justin Bieber (3), Enrique Iglesias (4), Tokio Hotel (5), Bruno Mars (6), Jon Bon Jovi (7), Chris Brown (8), Usher (9) and Drake (10) were all ranked on Billboard’s top 10 sexiest men in music list, but were beat out by former American Idol Adam Lambert (1).
