Kobe Bryant Mask – One man’s sweat has become another man’s treasure, as a face mask belonging to NBA superstar Kobe Bryant has been auctioned off for a staggering sum of $67,100. The money will go to the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation, which works to aid the homeless in Los Angeles.
The L.A. Lakers all-star guard was forced to wearing the mask after suffering a broken nose and concussion in March. He described the mask as a sauna, and mentioned his plans to auction the mask at the time, hoping to “see if anybody’s dumb enough to buy that sweaty mask.”
Kobe Bryant’s mask was custom-made for him, and was autographed prior to the sale. The bidding opened at $250, but closed at over $67,000 after 129 bids.
