NBC, along with two other broadcast groups, have contacted 90’s star Arsenio Hall for a second chance at talk show television, according to published reports.
Arsenio Hall’s recent victory on Celebrity Apprentice has sparked national media attention, fueling the talk of a possible talk show comeback. Hall was a contestant on the show’s fifth season, winning last week over former American Idol contestant Clay Aiken.
Hall has wanted to get back behind a desk since the cancellation of The Arsenio Hall Show in 1994. After his Celebrity Apprentice win, the three networks are reportedly “very interested” in signing Hall to a television deal.
Arsenio Hall is best known for hosting and creating The Arsenio Hall Show, a breakout late night success that made him a household name, particularly in the black community. The show aired weeknights from January 1989 to May 1994.
It is unknown if the actor and comedian will fit into a daytime or late-night slot. Regardless of his positioning, the late-night legend is utilizing the momentum from his Trump win.
