The nation’s first African-American president will run his Georgia re-election campaign out of an Atlanta neighborhood closely linked to the civil rights movement.
The Barak Obama campaign has signed a lease for space at Renaissance Walk on historic Auburn Avenue.
“With its rich history and bright future, it’s no surprise that the president chose Auburn Avenue as home for his campaign headquarters,” said Gene Kansas, a commercial real estate broker who represented landlord Cohen & Associates LLC of Los Angeles in the transaction.
