Jaleel White is the latest contestant on Dancing With the Stars to be booted from of the dance competition show.
The former Family Matters star was given the boot by the judges, after he and partner Kym Johnson failed to impress them with his rumba in the dance-off against Disney actor, Toshon Fegan. White and Fegan ended up in the bottom two following Monday’s performance episode.
White, who is famous for his nerdy Steve Urkel character on Family Matters, said he was surprised he made it to the seventh week of “DWTS”.
“I really only thought I’d last about three dances in this competition,” he said. “I wanted to get three good dances off. That’s what I told my mama.”
Although the season began in controversy for White, (with earlier media reports accusing him of being disrespectful to partner Johnson), he seemed upbeat about his experience on the show, expressing on Tuesday, “I’ve made incredible friends. The fans have been incredible.” Jaleel denied there was any bad blood between him and his partner.
Six stars remain in the competition, including NFL star Donald Driver, heartthrob actor William Levy and British singer Katherine Jenkins.
