NBC Takes Air Out Of ‘Best Friends Forever’

Only four episodes into its pilot, NBC pulled the plug on TV show Best Friends Forever. The news of the dismissal came to light after the show’s star, executive producer and co-creator, Lennon Parham, announced the news on Friday via Twitter:

“BFF Fans: Wanted to let you know that our show is being taken off the air until the summer. Hoping to post ep 5 & 6 online asap. We love u.”

Replying to some disappointed fans, co-creator Jessica St. Clair wrote, “Yes please to a petition! We want to do this show for 1 million years!”

Best Friends Forever, which debuted on April 4th, received 3.9 million viewers in its premier week. The ratings fell 25% by its second show and things only downward spiraled from there.

The TV show will be replaced next week by a new episode of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, a hidden camera series similar to MTV’s Punked.

NBC did not announce if they’re going to air the remaining two episodes of Best Friends Forever.
