Disney Releases New 'Brave' Trailer

Most films released in the summer are action packed, violent, mega budget films that are only for adults, but what about the children?  Leave it up to Pixar and Disney to provide the animation films that draw families to the theater in the middle of the summer. This year’s summer animation is Disney’s Brave.

Brave tells the tail of the Scottish young princess Marida (voiced by Kelly Macdonald), who confronts a long running tradition where the princess is prepped to marry the best young lad in the village.

Determined to make her own path in life, Marida defies the age-old sacred custom and upsets the lords of the land. Her rebel actions unleash chaos throughout the kingdom.

Desperate for help, she turns to a wise old woman who grants her an ill-fated wish. Now, Marida must discover the true meaning of bravery to undo her curse before her kingdom is lost forever.

Brave is directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman. The cast of voices includes Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson, and Robbie Coltrane.

This action adventure cartoon hits theaters June 22, 2012.
