Giuliana Rancic, 37, and husband Bill Rancic, 40, reality stars of “Giuliana & Bill” just let the cat out of the bag—the doting couple is expecting their first little one!
“We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered,” Giuliana said.
“We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey,” Bill continued.
After some bouts of difficult news from suffering a miscarriage to a diagnosis of breast cancer, the E! News host and “Fashion Police” co-host, is over the moon about becoming a mother, though she won’t be carrying the child.
“It was pretty much one of the best moments of my life if not the best moment of my life,” Giuliana said on the Today show after learning the surrogate was successfully pregnant with child.
The baby is being carried by a gestational surrogate, meaning the Rancics are completely genetically tied to the child; the surrogate is only carrying the child.
Giuliana confirmed the surrogate lived out of state, but that she and Bill see the “dream come true” each month and make every doctor’s visit.
“We see the baby grow and it’s very exciting,” Bill said.
The svelte correspondent’s decision to undergo a double mastectomy was largely in-part because of her and Bill’s desire for children. The alternate route, radiation therapy and the mediation thereafter could have further prolonged the parenthood process.
