Jaden Smith May Sign On To Star In 'Boy Nobody'

Sony is currently in negotiations to buy the film rights to Allen Zadoff’s novel Boy Nobody, with Will Smith’s talented son Jaden Smith potentially starring in it.

Boy Nobody is based on a brainwashed teenage assassin who starts to understand his emotions. Author Zadoff describes his young troubled hero as a “young soldier trained not to feel; who could function in every situation without fear, sympathy or anger; who could assassinate strangers and then walk away emotionally unscathed.”

Jaden Smith recently played Dre Parker, in the highly successful 2010 reboot of The Karate Kid. The young actor also played Jennifer Connelly’s mischief making son in another reboot, The Day the Earth Stood Still. Jaden also starred alongside his dad Will in The Pursuit of Happyness. Currently, he is filming M. Night Shyamalan’s sci-fi epic, After Earth, in which he’ll play alongside his father Will Smith, again. After Earth is slated to hit theaters on June 7, 2013.

Boy Nobody still hasn’t received a start date, as Sony is still in the middle of obtaining the rights.
