Dancing With The Stars‘ shocking eliminations of Jack Wagner and Sherri Shepherd had many of the stars worried that it could be anybody’s night to go home. However, this week’s ouster of Gavin DeGraw was not all that surprising.
Going into the elimination Gavin Degraw and Karina Smirnoff shared the bottom score with Melissa Gilbert and Maks Chmerkovshiy.
The judges decided to spare Gilbert and Chmerkovshiy in the end, which led Degraw and Smirnoff into a cha cha dance-off with Jaleel White and Kym Johnson.
After the survival dance ended, the judges came back with a unanimous vote to boot DeGraw from the dance competition.
The singer ended his Dancing With The Stars run upbeat with the final words: “It’s been amazing. My family got to have a great time. And we reunited in a lot of ways.”
Katherine Jenkins, William Levy, Maria Menounos, Roshon Fegan, Donald Driver, Jaleel White, Gladys Knight, and Melissa Gilbert will be the ‘final 8’ returning to next week’s show.
