NBC has ordered a new game show from Howie Mandel. The new show, Howie Mandel’s White Elephant, is based on a popular holiday gift-swapping tradition.
It’s a game show where one can win plenty of money and prizes. There are six contestants, who will select one package from an assortment of wrapped gifts which contain millions of dollars in prizes. Using their “magic powers”, mixed with some calling from the gods, contestants will decide whether or not to take prizes that have been previously shown to them, or to gamble on unopened boxes hoping they’re worth more. The contestant with the prize which is worth the least is eliminated at the end of every round.
Mandel will be the host as well as the executive producer for the show, along with Alevy Productions’ Mike Marks. NBC has ordered seven episodes.
A premiere or filming date has not been set as of yet. More details coming soon…
