Nicki Minaj isn’t a stranger to outlandish clothing choices or neon-infused wigs nor does she credit Lady Gaga (matter the comparisons ‘irk’ her) for her look but her latest look over the past few days has us asking, Nicki Minaj Where Are Your Pants?
The 29-year-old self-proclaimed Barbie methodically set out to spend her Easter weekend without pants. First, the ‘Super Bass’ rapper showed up to the “Today” show on Friday morning to discuss her latest album ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ in a black fishnet top with a belted bustier of sorts and studded hi-rise hot pants…and little else. Did we mention this is a morning show? To be fair, she did choose opaque black tights to complete the first pantless look.
Later that evening the ‘Starships’ rapper rocked her second pant free look at her Times Square performance for the launch of the Nokia Lumia 900 with Windows phone. Nicki donned the same platinum wig, kept her top half conservative with a white button shirt and saved all the madness for her bottom half with a lace leotard, grey tiger stripe tights and black booties.
Nicki may have performed in the latter outfit but there was no change of outfit before or after.
Keeping the theme strictly animal, Minaj went for a leopard print leotard with much of her ample boobs on display and decided to match with leopard tights…again, without pants while she had a CD signing at Westfield shopping Mall, Culver City, California on Saturday.
The no-pant look is nothing new for performers, but normally artists stick to the stage for their risqué look.
