Bobby Brown, 43, is facing some difficult times as of late and his recent DUI charge won’t make for any less troublesome moments because he is now looking at jail time.
He lost his father last year, his ex-wife Whitney Houston succumbed to an accidental drowning, and he’s reportedly not on speaking terms with him and Whitney’s only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
The “Tender Roni” singer failed a sobriety test after being pulled over Monday in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles after initially being stopped for talking on his cell phone and was taken into custody, then later released after posting bail.
Brown had a blood alcohol level reportedly over .08 allowed percent—.12 to be exact—according to the California Highway Patrol.
Yesterday the performer who is now touring with New Edition, was charged with three misdemeanor charges—two DUI related and the third for driving with a suspended license.
His lawyer Tiffany Feder is singing a different tune insisting Bobby was not pulled over for a DUI. “Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and Mr. Brown was not driving erratically.”
“Mr. Brown has not been convicted of anything associated with this incident. Mr. Brown is taking this matter seriously and an investigation is underway. The legal process shall run its course. Mr. Brown is taking this matter seriously, and an investigation is under way.”
If Bobby is found guilty on all counts, the “Every Little Step” singer faces up to a year in a county jail.
