Hilary Duff and her husband Mike Comrie welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Luca Cruz Comrie on Tuesday night, March 20th. Duff who announced her pregnancy on the same day of her one year anniversary shared the great news with fans on Twitter.
“Welcome to the World Luca Cruz Comrie! Tuesday evening, we became proud parents of a healthy 7 pound 6 ounce beautiful boy.”
The 24-year old former Disney star added, “We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world.”
“He is surrounded by so much love!! Mom and baby are both doing extremely well.”
Luca is expected to enjoy an animal themed nursery after the new parents received many of the gifts from their wish list at a baby shower held last month. The list included, doggie hooded towels, elephant and zebra bibs, a turtle night-light, a giraffe infant seat, monkey and fish sleeping bags, and a lamb toy.
