Charlie Sheen has made his way back onto CBS’ Two and A Half Men. Harry’s Law actress Kathy Bates will guest star on the show as the ghost of Sheen. Last year Sheen’s alter ego was killed off in the TV show in the season premiere after the actor lashed out at creator Chuck Lorre.
On the April 30th episode, Jon Cryer’s Alan suffers a heart attack and the ghost of Sheen’s Charlie Harper pays a visit to his hospital bed.
Ashton Kutcher replaced Sheen as a billionaire playboy. In the hit TV series, Kutcher’s character accidentally stumbles upon Charlie Harper’s million-dollar home, just as Alan was deciding what to do with it.
Kutcher’s contract is up at the end of the season, and the network is in talks regarding the fate of Two and A Half Men, with the expectation of contract discussions likely to delay the process.
The network hasn’t offered a deal for the actor to remain with the series, but he has made it clear that he wants to continue to work with the cast.
The show’s ratings dropped briefly upon Sheen’s departure, but quickly regained its viewership to a hefty 14 million.
Bates has guest starred in a number of comedy series in the past. The actress most recently recurred on NBC’s The Office.
