Tim Burton’s remake of the Dark Shadows was just released. Johnny Depp possibly kicks off another franchise with his character Barnabus Collins.
In 1772 the parents of Barnabas set sail from Liverpool to escape a curse that has plagued their family for decades. After Barnabas grows to be an inveterate playboy, he makes the mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Bouchard. Angelique, a witch in every sense of the word, further curses Barnabas to a grave for two centuries. Barnabas is later freed only to find his estate in complete ruins. Now Barnabas sets a plan to regain his families elite status.
The original 1966 Dark Shadows TV Show quickly became a faviorte, because of its funny scripts, outlandish premis and cheap production value.
The film stars actors, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Eva Green, Chloe Moretz, Bella Heathcote, Thomas McDonell, Gulliver McGrath. The script was written by Seth Grahame-Smith
