Twilight actor Peter Facinelli and his wife, Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jennie Garth, are going their own separate ways, after 11 years of marriage, PEOPLE reports.
The soon to be divorced couple confirmed their plans to split in a joint statement which read:
“While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children. We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time.”
Facinelli (38) and Garth (39) began dating after meeting on the set of TV movie, An Unfinished Affair in 1996, The celebrity couple married in 2001 and are currently raising their three daughters, Luca ( 14), Lola (9) and Fiona (5). out of the union.
As well as playing Carlisle Cullin in the Twilight series films, Facinelli regularly appears on Showtime’s dark comedy, Nurse Jackie, which rolls out its fourth season on April 8. The movie star was spotted on Monday night attending The Hunger Games premiere in L.A. with daughter Luca.
Garth, best known for playing Kelly Taylor on Beverly Hills, 90210, managed to capture the fourth place spot with partner Derek Hough on Dancing with the Stars in 2007. She also appeared in a number of small screen movies, such as Accidentally In Love, A Christmas Wedding Tail, and Village People.
