Tom Cruise May Star In Clint Eastwood’s 'A Star Is Born'

Tom Cruise may star star in Clint Eastwood’s upcoming movie A Star Is Born.

Singer/actress Beyonce Knowles-Carter has already signed on to play a lead role in the movie. The Grammy award-winning star recently gave birth to her daughter Blue Ivy, which delayed the production of the film. According to sources, Knowles-Carter is now ready to start shooting this coming June.

A Star Is Born centers around a fading star who falls in love with a younger woman. Over time, the young lady begins to overshadow him. Eastwood will mimick the direction of the 1976 version of A Star Is Born, which cast Barbra Streisand alongside Kris Kristofferson. Unlike the older movie, the legendary actor/film-maker will instead move the story from the film industry to the music business.

Producers considered casting other A-list actors for the male lead including Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith, Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Robert Downey Jr, Eminem, Christian Bale and Jon Hamm.

At this time, the Mission: Impossible actor has a very busy schedule, he is currently filming Oblivion, and then he has to immediately report to the set of All You Need Is Kill.
