Andre Holland Claims His Role In NBC's Presidential Comedy Pilot '1600 Penn'

Andre Holland claims his role in the NBC presidential comedy pilot 1600 Penn.  Holland will play Marshall Malloy, the White House press secretary.

The show follows a dysfunctional First Family living in the White House and filling the Oval Office with silly antics.  Josh Glad plays the oldest son of the family.  He returns home and becomes the biggest liability – but also reinforces the bond that keeps the family together.

The former Friends With Benefits actor joins Brittany Snow, who plays the overachieving sister of Glad’s character, and Bill Pullman, who will head the family as the President.

Twentieth Century Fox TV will produce the project.  Barack Obama’s former speechwriter, Jonathan Lovett, teams up with Glad and Modern family director, Jason Winer to executive produce the project.

Holland, starred in several made for TV movies before landing a small role in Spike Lee’s Miracle At St. Anna.  He then moved on to lead in the comedy Friends with Benefits and recently guest starred on USA’s Burn Notice.
