Finally Oscar nominated actress Viola Davis has ditched her wig and opted for her beautiful natural hair!!! The Help actress debut the look on the red carpet as she headed inside the Essence Magazine Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon. Davis previously showed off the short, auburn colored afro on the cover of LA Times magazine but this is her first on the red carpet. Crossing fingers this look makes it to the Oscars.
Other beautiful ladies at the event who were on one accord with Viola at least in terms of dress color included scandal actress Kerry Washington, Mission Impossible actress Paula Patton, Octavia Spencer and Emma Stone who all chose to wear white.
Kelly Rowland also made an appearance in a gorgeous tiger print dress along with Pam Grier, “Grey’s Anatomy” creator and executive producer, Shonda Rhimes, Anika Noni Rose, Naturi Naughton, Jordin Sparks, Tasha Smith and so many more. Now in it’s 5th year The Essence Luncheon “celebrates the brightest stars who, through their work, have helped illuminate positive images of Black women worldwide.”
