Chris Brown Forced To Avoid Rihanna At Grammys

Rihanna‘s upcoming Grammy performance on Sunday night is sending the media into a frenzy as her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown will also take the stage. Three years ago Brown was charged with two felonies after he physically attacked the ‘Man Down’ singer in his vehicle the night before the Grammys. Since 2009 Chris remained absent from the biggest night in music but has worked diligently to rebuild his reputation and music career. With three nominations and two performances it’s safe to say Chris succeeded.

Despite the high anticipation, Rihanna and Chris’s imminent Grammy reunion won’t be as tense since many reports have speculated the exes have secretly hooked up several times within the last few months. Brown’s rep have denied any romantic involvement with Rihanna saying the two are “just friends’ and he’s in a relationship with Karrueche Tran. Of course it doesn’t help that the Rude Boy singer was spotted leaving the same club as Chris twice within a 30 day period!

With the persistent news of the reunion aside, a source close to Brown states his main focus is rebuilding his image and putting on an amazing performance. “This is big for him. He’s rehearsing now and he knows how important this is for him.”

Grammy organizers confirmed that Brown will perform with Lil Wayne, David Guetta, Foo Fighters and deadmau 5 in a tent outside the Staples Center and may also complete a medley of his songs. Rihanna on the other hand with four nominations, including Album of the Year for LOUD will perform with Coldplay on the main stage.

Despite the current status of Chris Brown and Rihanna’s relationship, Brown is legally not allowed to come within ten yards of Rihanna as a result of his previous, ironically, pre-grammy altercation.
