Madonna’s halftime show at the 2012 Super Bowl may have set a twitter record but one person in particular was all about bashing Madge’s 12 minute performance.
Madonna, 53, opened with ‘Vogue’ in Egyptian inspired costumes, followed by her first guest LMFAO – who appeared to be really happy to be there. Next came Madonna’s cheerleaders M.I.A and Nicki Minaj. M.I.A flipped the bird during her performance forcing the director of the halftime show to apologize. Last and certainly the best, Cee Lo. Making two features as a band major and choir director in ‘Like a Prayer’ – Cee Lo nailed his performance.
Despite the highly theatrical performance CNN’s Piers Morgan didn’t want anything to do with it.
“I don’t think the half-time entertainer should ever be older than the #Superbowl itself. Sorry. Yuk. Just put it away Madonna. Seriously.”
“Memo to my Grandmother – don’t even THINK of doing cartwheels. Somebody. Stop. Her. My toes are actually curling. What on earth is she singing now? Sounds like a Belgium nightclub cabaret act.”
At least Morgan had high marks for Kelly Clarkson’s national anthem giving her an A+.
