Beyonce Knowles is a hot contender for dibs on filling one of the two seats left vacant after Simon Cowell fired Nicole Scherzinger and veteran judge Paula Abdul from USA X Factor.
Abdul, Scherzinger along with host Steve Jones were all dismissed for not garnering substantial numbers for the show.
After preliminary statements were released to ensure a well-placed mea culpa and other bouts of saving face, questions are now looming about who will fill the three vacancies.
According to sources, Simon was perplexed about the show’s lagging numbers behind American Idol and NBC’s The Voice, hence the bloodbath. Though the juggernaut producer admitted his aspirations were too lofty, he is in search of big names to transmute big numbers.
And what big names come to mind to bring forth such numbers? Beyonce Knowles, Mariah Carey, and Fergie!
The Chicago Sun-Times reports Simon is eyeing up these megastars after seeing the fanfare musicians Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have added to rival show American Idol.
“Simon wants nothing but the best for the X Factor,” a source said.
Sources are saying Cowell would love to snag American Idol host Ryan Seacrest to replace Jones. There’s even word that Cowell could be eyeballing Victoria Beckham as well.
But Simon’s biggest aspiration of the moment is to gain two astronomical names that can move numbers up. Mariah and Fergie are the likely candidates to move forward. Despite rumors that Beyonce has six nannies tending to her daughter it’s seems unlikely she would sign up for such a gig.
