Disney released a new teaser trailer for ‘John Carter.’ The company is teaming up with the NFL and is giving one lucky John Carter/football fan a chance to win a trip to next year’s Super Bowl XLVII. In order to win, viewers must keep a sharp lookout for the secret code that comes up during the commercial of this year’s big match-up between the NY Giants and the New England Patriots.
John Carter is a 2012 American epic science fiction film featuring John Carter, the heroic protagonist of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ 11-volume Barsoom series. In the film, former Confederate captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) is transported to Mars (“Barsoom”). There he becomes part of a conflict between the various nations of the planet, whose leaders include Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). Carter takes it upon himself to save Barsoom and its people. The film is the live-action debut of Andrew Stanton, director and writer, and is co-written by Mark Andrews and Michael Chabon, produced by Jim Morris, Colin Wilson, and Lindsey Collins, and scored by Michael Giacchino(Wiki).
The film will be released in theaters on March 9, 2012.
