Halle Berry is now juxtaposed with copious amounts of celebrities who have their own shoe line.
“I can’t think of any girl who wouldn’t want her name on a brand of shoes. I think that’s pretty cool. Women have always loved shoes. It’s like if your hair is not right and your shoes are not right, the woman is not right. If both of them are right, you’re pretty much OK,” Halle said.
The Oscar-nominated actress, who has several successful fragrances, is now lending her knack for panache towards women shoes including peep-toe wedges, strappy sandals and sling-backs.
The affordable collection, ‘5th Avenue by Halle Berry’, will be underway across Europe March 5 and the line will showcase 40 styles just in time for the warmer seasons. At 50 bucks per pair, Halle is seemingly banking on fans to buy more shoes than having to jack up prices with possibly slower sales.
“The shoes can easily be worn by every woman. They are stylish, yet reasonably priced, that is what my collection is all about,” Halle said.
The ‘5th Avenue by Halle Berry” line was designed for German retailer Deichmann Shoes who also houses supermodel Cindy Crawford shoe collection.
‘We are very pleased that Halle Berry is our new partner. She is an internationally renowned artist and a global style icon,” Heinrich Deichmann said.
Deichman is Europe’s largest shoe retailer and has previously linked with the Pussycat Dolls and the Sugababes to promote its shoes.
