Michel Haznavicius Presented With Top Honor Award From The DGA

Michel Haznavicius Top Honors From The DGAFrench filmmaker Michel Hazanavicius has been presented the award for Outstanding Achievement in Feature Film from the DGA (Directors Guild of America) for his
direction on the black and white silent film ‘The Artist'(The Weinstein Company). The last eight directors to win this honor have gone on to win Oscars for best director.  The last nine directors who won the DGA award, their movies went on to win Best Picture at the Oscars.

The DGA Award win will propel  ‘The Artist’s’ strong run that it had during the past month, which included Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards and the top honor from the Producers Guild (PGA). Next up are the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards, which will announce  Sunday night, January 29.
