Jim Carrey Turns 50 While Filming Burt Wonderstone

Legendary actor/comedian Jim Carrey turns 50 years old today. Carey who is best known for his funny roles in hits such as Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, Bruce Almighty and Dumb & Dumber, is currently shooting an upcoming movie titled “Burt Wonderstone”.

In the comedy film, Carrey plays  a flamboyant Las Vegas magician who competes against a rival magician of the same name as the movie title, played by Steve Carell.

Other high profile actors that star  in Burt Wonderstone include Boardwalk Empire’s Steve Buscemi, House’s Olivia Wilde, and The Soprano’s James Gandolfini. The film is directed by Don Scardino.

Carrey, who has reportedly battled depression for many years, has lit up screens worldwide with his comedic wit, dead-on impersonations, and keen improvisational skills.  His other film achievements include  “The Truman Show”, “Cable Guy”, “Me, Myself & Irene”, and the role of The Riddler in “Batman Forever”.
