The 2012 People’s Choice Awards brought out the young stars and other fan favorites at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles. The first award show of 2012 was hosted by Kaley Cuoco with performances by Demi Lovato and Faith Hill.
Highlights of some winners of the evening includes Demi Lovato who beat out Beyonce, Rihanna and Katy Perry for “Favorite Pop Artist”. Rihanna recovered nicely with a win for Best R&B artist (didn’t know she could be voted for both Pop and R&B).
Katy Perry who backed last minute dominated the awards with trophies for Favorite TV Guest Star, Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Tour Headliner, Favorite Music Video (for “Last Friday Night”) and Favorite Song of the Year (for “E.T.” featuring Kanye West) – talk about an over achiever!
